Crick has appeared in two games so far this season, most recently on Apr. 3.
Martin was arguably the Pirates best hitter this spring, batting .304 with a 1.043 OPS and a pair of stolen bases. He was acquired by the Pirates in the Gerrit Cole trade and was added to the 40 man roster in November.
Martin will wear number 51 with the Pirates.
