According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, the New York Mets are listening to trade offers for a former Gold Glove winning outfielder. This outfielder is the 28-year-old Juan Lagares.
Juan Lagares has two years and $15.5 million left on his contract. So if the Mets trade him, the team that lands Lagares will get him for the next two seasons. With the Pittsburgh Pirates in the market for a fourth outfielder, could Lagares be a trade target?
The contract that Juan Lagares comes with is a very affordable one. This, of course, is always something to take into consideration with the cost-conscious Pirates.
