West Virginia was off for the SAL All-Star break. The DSL Pirates were rained out.
-- Justin Masterson struggled as Indianapolis (39-32) dropped a 12-inning game to Gwinnett, 8-7. Probably the best thing that can be said about Masterson so far is that he's doing so badly in AAA that he probably won't get added to the toxic waste dump that the Pirates call a pitching staff. In this game, he gave up a run in the first inning due to three walks. Later he gave up three HRs. He finished with five runs allowed in four and two-thirds innings on seven hits and four walks.
