There’s not much to report from the minor league front today. Indianapolis, Altoona and West Virginia were all rained out. Bradenton (8-3) reached the bottom of the fifth of their game with Clearwater holding a 4-1 lead. Unfortunately, starter Mike Wallace gave up a pair of longballs, the second one putting Clearwater ahead, 5-4, and the rain gave Clearwater the win at that point. Wallace allowed 11 hits over four and two-thirds innings. Hunter Owen (pictured) stayed hot, going 2-2 with a triple. He’s now hitting 351/429/622. Albert Baur was 2-3 with two doubles. Bligh Madris was 0-2 with a walk.
