Starter Clay Holmes lasted only three and two-thirds innings, walking five and throwing only 45 of 85 pitches for strikes. He did strike out seven, while allowing five hits and three runs, two earned. Dovydas Neverauskas (pictured) threw two scoreless innings, giving up two hits and fanning five. Since being optioned, he’s struck out 23 in 16 innings. Casey Sadler threw two and a third scoreless innings, despite giving up four hits, and also had a two-run single.
