The Pirates after dropping the first game of the series, rallied to win the next two in Los Angeles behind solid pitching including Gerrit Cole's 17 th win of the season.
The win was big, as the Cubs lost earlier in the day, so the Pirates now sit two games clear of the Central rivals for the top spot for the NL Wild Card.
The Dodgers got on the board first again today, by picking up a run in the first inning. The Pirates responded quickly as they did last night, by evening the score in the second inning.
