After a breakthrough 2015 season, Caminero hasn't looked right all year, but he reached a nadir in Tuesday night's 12-1 win over the D-backs. The flame-throwing righty hit two of Arizona's batters in the head -- Jean Segura with a 96-mph fastball, and Nick Ahmed with a split-finger fastball.
Caminero was ejected from the game. To this point of the season, he has allowed 24 hits and 13 walks (plus three hit batters) in 17 1/3 innings while striking out 14. Manager Clint Hurdle did his best to put Caminero in low-leverage situations, hoping the hard thrower would get back on track, but Caminero continued to struggle.
