CHICAGO -- Gregory Polanco outslugged the Cubs on Thursday, hitting a pair of solo home runs, and Francisco Cervelli added a three-run shot to back Trevor Williams and power the Pirates to a 6-1 victory.
Adam Frazier also hit a solo home run, his first of the year, in the fifth inning for Pittsburgh, which has won five of its past seven games. The Pirates improved to 5-1 on the road.
Williams lasted six innings and scattered four hits, including a solo home run by Kyle Schwarber leading off the fourth, to improve to 3-0.
