PITTSBURGH -- The Pirates were unable to produce enough offense to back another dominant outing from their pitching staff on Monday in a 1-0 loss to the Braves at PNC Park.
Chris Archer's second home start with the Pirates was shortened by left leg discomfort, but the right-hander allowed just one run over four innings while striking out three and walking one. His start marked a full run through the rotation in which each of Pittsburgh's five starters allowed just one earned run.
