31 year old MLB veteran Tom Koehler, who’d appeared in four rehab games over the past couple weeks, was placed back on the disabled list with the right shoulder strain that’s kept him out of any official games since September of 2017.
Altoona activated LHP Elvis Escobar, shut down after two spring training appearances with a left shoulder strain, then then who made eight rehab appearances over the past four weeks. Signed in 2013 as an outfielder, the 23 year old switched to the mound last summer and got a significant workload for someone new to pitching, appearing in 18 games and 30 innings the rest of the summer and another 23 games and 13 2⁄3 innings in the Venezuelan Winter League.
