Alabama's Young wins Heisman, Pitt's Pickett finishes third

NEW YORK -- Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett's quest to become winner of the 87th Heisman Trophy came up just short finishing third behind Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson who finished second and Alabama's Bryce Young who was the winner.

The Heisman Trophy is awarded annually to the premier college football player in the country representing an elite fraternity of college athletes. The Panthers have been no stranger to this award with Pitt running back Tony Dorsett winning the award in 1976, the same season the Panthers won the national title.
