On Friday night in the Arizona Fall League, the Peoria Javelinas were on the road to take on the Salt River Rafters. The only player from the Pittsburgh Pirates in the lineup was Nick Gonzales, who batted lead-off and played second base. Here’s a recap of his night:
Gonzales started the game with a single on a line drive to center field. He walked in the third inning, then scored one pitch later on a home run. He grounded out to shortstop to end the top of the fourth. Peoria went down in order in the final three innings, as Gonzales flew out to center field in the seventh to end the game with a 6-3 loss.
