The most persistent rumor that’s dogged the Pirates this season seems to be coming true today.
Various sources, including ESPN’s Jeff Passan and The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, are reporting that the Pirates have traded second baseman/left fielder Adam Frazier to the San Diego Padres.
Rosenthal is stating that the Padres are giving up three prospects—infielder Tucupita Marcano, outfielder Jack Suwinski, and RHP Michell Miliano—in exchange for Frazier, who currently has the most hits in the majors.
