The Pirates will sport a simple, clean-cut look in spring training. With many clubs opting for bright, bold caps and uniforms this spring, the Pirates kept it conservative.
Under the steamy Bradenton, Fla., sun, the Pirates will wear black caps with a thick yellow outline of the traditional 'P' logo.
Their spring-training jersey will be very similar to their regular-season black alternate uniform, with a 'P' and player number on the front. The primary differences, it appears, are a pattern on the player name and number on the back of the shirt, and on the sleeve a spring-training patch worn by all major league teams.
