2015 Recap:
While Jung Ho Kang's 2015 season ended in disappointment, some might say, tragic circumstances; on the whole, it was a major success. Kang finished his abbreviated rookie season with a triple slash of .287/.355/.461. His .816 OPS was second only to Andrew McCutchen (.889) among Pirates who received at least 400 PAs in 2015. The big question coming into the season was whether or not Kang's power would translate from from the KBO, a league that is widely considered equivalent to Double-A. Kang answered that question in a big way clubbing 15 homers, the most by a Pirates rookie since Pedro Alvarez hit 16 back in 2010 and three more than McCutchen hit in his rookie season of 2009.
