The Pittsburgh Pirates would like to "add a player or two" prior the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, according to Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
The two most obvious needs are first base and right field, and Biertempfel mentions Ben Revere and Jeff Francoeur as potential fits.
In addition to those two offensive positions, Pittsburgh has been heavily scouting big league starters and bullpen depth, most notably the Diamondbacks, where both Addison Reed and Jeremy Hellickson have been made available.
