Despite being a heavy player in the Bud Norris sweepstakes, the former Houston Astros starer will not be coming to Pittsburgh. As first reported by Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal, the Baltimore Orioles have the framework of a deal in place with the Astros for Norris centered around outfielder L.J. Hoes, who has torn up AAA the last two years but has just four career Major League at bats.
The only hitch now is a third piece of the deal from Baltimore, according to Rosenthal. As it stands now, the Orioles will send Hoes, a competitive balance draft pick and a second player to Houston in exchange for Norris. It is that second player that is the source of debate.
