In today's Pirates trade rumors and news update, the Pittsburgh Pirates have recently been scouting Arizona Diamondbacks games with the main focus being on the DBacks relief corps.
According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports 1, one of the players who the Pirates could be targeting might be a familiar name to most Pirates fans:
Pirates have been scouting DBacks relievers. Of note: A lefty by the name of Oliver Perez is part of the Arizona bullpen.

In his first year with the Diamondbacks, the 32-year-old Perez is pitching to a career-best 1.96 ERA in 36.2 innings pitched. His 1.145 WHIP would also mark the best number of his 13-year MLB career, adding to the speculation that the Pirates could want to bring him back for the first time since the middle of the 2006 MLB season.
Another name that could be on the Pirates' minds would be submarine-style reliever Brad Ziegler. Ziegler has been extremely effective all season long and just signed a team-friendly contract extension with Arizona back in December.
