With veteran backstop Russell Martin choosing to leave the Pittsburgh Pirates for a multi-year deal with the Toronto Blue Jays, it's possible the Pirates could tap another Blue Jay as their starting catcher in 2015.
According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, the Pirates and Colorado Rockies are two potential trade destinations for Toronto Blue Jays catcher/DH Dioner Navarro:
dioner navarro is jays dh/backup catcher for now. hed still prefer to be traded to catch fulltime. best hopes? rox, bucs

By being dealt to a National League squad, Navarro can assure himself a place as a catcher except for in interleague contests. Add in the fact that both the Pirates and Rockies are on the lookout for a veteran backstop this offseason, and a deal makes sense.
In 139 games with Toronto last season, the 30-year-old Navarro posted a .274/.319/.395 slash line with 12 home runs and 69 RBIs in 520 plate appearances. Of those 139 games, Navarro was behind the plate for all but nineteen.
