OTTAWA, Ontario — They are, at least in this small way, like the rest of us. When a goal is reviewed for potential goaltender interference, an on-ice official could award the Penguins a first down, and they probably wouldn’t be shocked.
“I don’t know if anybody is 100-percent sure which direction those are going to go,” Matt Cullen said following the Penguins’ 2-1 loss to the Senators in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference final on Tuesday at Canadian Tire Centre.
What Cullen was talking about was a disallowed goal at 3:04 of the second period.
