When the puck drops for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup final Thursday night, the Penguins will be doing their best to not dwell on the big, silver trophy waiting somewhere in the bowels of Consol Energy Center.
One more win against the Sharks will end with the Penguins hoisting the Stanley Cup, but Penguins’ coach Mike Sullivan said Tuesday he trusts his players to keep their focus on the ice.
“I think I trust our leadership,” Sullivan said on a conference call with reporters. “We’ve got some guys in there that have this in perspective, that have been through similar experiences in the past.
