There’s a job available, likely on the Penguins fourth line, after coach Mike Sullivan announced Saturday that Carter Rowney would be out “longer-term” with an upper-body injury he suffered during Thursday’s 5-3 win at Montreal.
To fill the position, there’s a couple ways the Penguins could go.
The most likely move will be recalling Josh Jooris from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, although with no games until Tuesday for the NHL club, it’s probably more beneficial for Jooris to play in the AHL until Monday.
The Penguins reassigned Jooris to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday, the day Bryan Rust returned from a concussion.
