The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have signed forward Ben Sexton to an AHL contract for the 2019-20 season, the team announced Thursday.
Sexton, 28, was acquired by Pittsburgh along with defenseman Macoy Erkamps from the Senators in December in exchange for forward Tobias Lindberg and defenseman Stefan Elliott.
Sexton recorded seven goals and three assists in his 26 games with Wilkes-Barre following the trade.
Sexton can play both center and wing, and has a right-handed shot. He's 5-feet-11 and 196 pounds, and was originally a seventh-round pick by the Bruins in 2009.
