Sure, Crosby's incredible goals are impressive, but to someone like his youth baseball coach, they're no surprise
When Sidney Crosby returns home to Nova Scotia for the summer, there’s a game he likes to play with friends and family called Polish horseshoes.
It’s sort of like the more familiar backyard classic, except instead of a small stake there’s a can or bottle atop a 4- or 5-foot-tall stick.
The object is to hit one or both, which sets off a scramble of who can catch what for a set number of points.
“Let’s just say he’s very good,” Crosby’s youth hockey and baseball coach, Paul Mason, recalled by phone from Cole Harbour on Monday morning.
