OTTAWA, Ontario — The stakes in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference final Tuesday at Canadian Tire Centre are pretty simple.
If the Penguins win, they’re headed to the Stanley Cup final for the second year in a row.
That means that if the Senators lose, their season is over, although captain Erik Karlsson said they are not going to obsess over that possibility.
“We know what can happen, but we’re not going to focus on that,” he said after his team’s optional game-day skate Tuesday. “We’re not going to think about ‘what-ifs.’
“We’re going to do everything we can to play the game we want, and if we do that, we’re going to have a good chance of winning.
