How much would you pay to watch your favorite pro sports team in another city?

If you’re Travis Minaker, the answer is quite a lot.

Minaker is from Edmonton, Alberta and dropped more than $3,000 to watch his beloved Oilers play the Penguins on Tuesday at PPG Paints Arena.

He did so in pretty ridiculous fashion, too: with Minaker and three friends dressed as Oilers, seated within spitting distance of the visiting team’s bench.

The tickets themselves cost Minaker $500 each, a deal he apparently brokered through the Penguins ticket office and one that functions as a pseudo-business deal.
