Unclear if Pens prospect Pouliot to face discipline for public drunkenness citation

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- The repercussions of Penguins prospect Derrick Pouliot's citation for public drunkenness in Wilkes-Barre last weekend have yet to be determined.

"It’s an unfortunate situation, but they’re on top of it down there," general manager Jim Rutherford said after the Penguins' 3-2 victory against Vancouver at Rogers Arena Wednesday night.

"Billy [Guerin, the assistant general manager] is down there now and, of course, the people in Wilkes-Barre will handle it internally."

Pouliot, 21, was cited early Sunday morning in Wilkes-Barre.

He was held out of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 5-2 victory against St. John's Wednesday night because of an injury not related to that incident, Baby Penguins coach Mike Sullivan told reporters.
