The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned goaltender Tristan Jarry to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Jarry, 20, dressed as the Penguins’ backup goaltender behind Jeff Zatkoff for Games 1 and 2 of Pittsburgh’s First Round series against the New York Rangers.
This season, Jarry went 17-13-3 in 33 AHL regular-season games as a rookie for WBS. Jarry and the WBS Penguins will open their best-of-five opening-round series against the Providence Bruins on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.
