OTTAWA, Ontario — The Penguins appear poised to get a significant piece of their blue line back tonight, as defenseman Trevor Daley seems likely to rejoin the lineup for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final.
Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said Daley will be a game-time decision, but all indications are that he will play. Daley took part in the team’s morning skate at the University of Ottawa, working alongside his normal defense partner Olli Maatta.
Daley has missed the past four games with a lower-body injury.
“I'm excited,” he said. “When I went down, it was frustrating.
