CRANBERRY, Pa. -- The Penguins have a number of young players vying for spots on the NHL roster in this training camp.
That's especially true at forward, with players like Sam Poulin, Nathan Legare and Filip Hallander playing pro for the first time within the organization this season, and several returning forwards, some of whom have some NHL experience on their resume already.
One of those forwards looking to break into the NHL full-time after getting a taste of it once before is Drew O'Connor.
O'Connor started the season in a limited fourth-line role in Pittsburgh, but really got to show more of his strengths in the second half of the season once he got sent down to Wilkes-Barre.
