Sidney Crosby doesn’t spend much time thinking about his legacy or how it might shine even brighter by winning a fourth Stanley Cup.
“I don’t think it really helps me as far as the motivation factor,” Crosby said. “It’s more important to focus on what we have to do [Wednesday] night.”
In a team sense, the Penguins share a similar sentiment.
Gone from last year’s team are Matt Cullen, Chris Kunitz, Marc-Andre Fleury and other important leaders, lost this summer via free agency and/or the expansion draft. While nobody will say a bad word about any of the departed, worrying about no longer having those guys is wasted energy.
