The Pittsburgh Penguins have hired Terry Kalna as Senior Vice President of Sales and Broadcasting, the team announced today.
Kalna, 39, a native of Greensburg, has spent the past eight years as Managing Director of International Speedway Corporation, a sister company to NASCAR that operates 13 racetracks across the country – including Daytona, Talladega, Darlington and Richmond. He oversaw sales, service and media for ISC and was actively involved in consumer marketing and brand strategy.
He replaces David Peart, who left in February to become General Manager of ROOT Sports in Houston.
Kalna was identified as a candidate and ultimately selected after a comprehensive nationwide search that was conducted by Turnkey Search, the leading executive search firm in sports and entertainment.
