System, meals and more help bridge gap between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Penguins

Even the breakfast is the same, Penguins defenseman David Warsofsky said.

Among the many reasons for the Penguins’ success in their first 38 games — a .724 points percentage entering the off week, second only to a Columbus team that put its 15-game winning streak on the line Tuesday — has been some serious continuity between their AHL and NHL clubs.

In Wilkes-Barre/u200bScranton, Warsofsky explained, everything is similar. From the system players have to learn to the meals they eat to how meetings are structured. So when a player is promoted, nothing changes.

“They do everything professionally down there,” Warsofsky said.
