Forbes values Ron Burkle’s net worth at $1.5 billion, but the Penguins co-owner takes a decidedly different approach when sharing a room with coach Mike Sullivan.
“Ron Burkle likes to say that [Sullivan] has the kind of voice that, if he came into the room and said, ‘Clean these tables,’ he’d start cleaning the tables,” Penguins president/u200bCEO David Morehouse said.
“And do the dishes.”
Sullivan’s command over the Penguins, however, isn’t limited to interactions with his bosses or tidiness around the workplace.
How firmly and accurately Sullivan has his finger on the pulse of this team has shone through with his informed, resolute and often correct decisions, ones that have shaped the Penguins as they open the Stanley Cup final on Monday at PPG Paints Arena.
