Sullivan's assessment of Game 3: Two good teams "trying to win"

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Coach Mike Sullivan has had nearly two days to digest and dissect the Penguins’ 3-2 overtime loss to San Jose in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup final Saturday.

His conclusion: He didn’t care much for the result, but wasn’t all that upset with his team’s performance.

“I don’t think, by any means, were we bad,” Sullivan said this afternoon. “It was a pretty even game, and two pretty good teams that were trying to win.”

That figures to be the case again this evening, when the Penguins face the Sharks at 8:20 in Game 4 at the SAP Center.
