The son of former Penguins defenseman Chris Joseph was one of 14 people killed in western Canada when a semi-truck slammed into a bus carrying his junior hockey team on Friday.
Joseph’s son, 20-year-old Jaxon, was among those who died in the crash in Saskatchewan. The bus was carrying Jaxon Joseph and his teammates on the Humboldt Broncos hockey team to a crucial playoff game. The bus had 29 passengers, including the driver, when it crashed at about 5 p.m. on Highway 35, Canadian police said.
We offer our heartfelt condolences to Pittsburgh Penguins alumnus Chris Joseph, whose son, Jaxon, was among those who tragically passed away in the Humboldt Broncos bus accident.
