Long after the Stanley Cup parade passed through Downtown Pittsburgh, a crowd formed at the Point State Park fountain to watch Stanley the catfish's release into the Ohio River.
Anglers Luke Wholey, 33, of Crafton, and Vic Milko, 41, of Sarver, fished for three days before they caught Stanley in the Allegheny River.
"We weren't going to go home until we caught a big one," Mr. Milko said.
And they did: the Saturday before the Nashville series began, they hooked the 42-inch, 40-pounder and donated it to Wholey's Market in the Strip District, where it lived during the championship games.
