Rodrigues, 29, signed a one-year, $2 million deal with the Avalanche in September after spending the previous two and a half years in Pittsburgh
"It's the business of the game," Rodrigues said of how the last offseason went after Colorado's morning skate at PPG Paints Arena on Tuesday. "It's a place that I loves, my family loves. It would have been great to come back. But there's obviously more to hockey than just wanting to be there. There's the business side and things didn't work out. But I don't have one negative thought, one negative thing about the city or organization.
