Sidney Crosby has moved up the ranks in yet another category in NHL history.
After scoring a goal against the Devils this afternoon, Crosby has ensured he will average at least a point-per-game for the 2020-21 season.
That will make sixteen straight seasons for Crosby where he averaged at least a point-per-game.
With that accomplishment, Crosby passed Mario Lemieux on the all-time list, who recorded 15 seasons averaging a point-per-game or more.
Crosby now trails only Gordie Howe with 17 such seasons and Wayne Gretzky with 19 such seasons.
