Tonight was a historic one for Pittsburgh Penguins fans, as their captain, Sidney Crosby, made more history.
Against the Habs, Sidney Crosby didn’t just skate – he soared into the history books. The first period saw him tie with the legendary Paul Coffey for 14th place in the NHL’s all-time points with a goal. As of this writing, with the game still in play, Crosby’s point tally continues to be a moving target. But, at this moment, he stands at an impressive 1,533 points.
But Crosby, in his typical fashion, wasn’t content to share the spotlight.
