PHILADELPHIA — Mario Lemieux owns just about every Penguins’ franchise scoring record in the Penguins’ history books.
But as of Wednesday night, he has one fewer.
Sidney Crosby broke Lemieux’s team mark for career postseason points with a goal and an assist in the Penguins’ 5-0 rout against the Flyers in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series.
Crosby tied Lemieux’s mark of 172 career playoff points with an assist on Evgeni Malkin’s first-period power-play goal, which put the Penguins up 1-0. He established a new record of 173 with his 62nd career playoff goal midway through the second period.
