Last night Sidney Crosby scored one of the more remarkable goals of the season against the Montreal Canadiens.
An impressive feat of hand-eye coordination and a great goal to be sure.
What makes it even more spooky is that last night’s goal vs MTL came one year to the day from when Crosby scored probably his best goal of the 2016-17 season against the Buffalo Sabres on 3/21/17. You know, this one.
One more cool commonality: last year’s 3/21/17 goal against Buffalo was Sid’s 41st goal of the season. He’d go on to win the Rocket Richard trophy for most goals in the NHL.
