Sidney Crosby cleared for contact at Penguins practice

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby was on the ice with the Penguins for the team's practice at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex Friday morning.

He was wearing a normal jersey, rather than a no-contact sweater.

Crosby sustained a concussion in Game 3 of the Penguins' Eastern Conference semifinal against the Capitals, and missed Game 4 Wednesday night. He skated on his own Thursday morning, but coach Mike Sullivan made no indication of his potential availability for Game 5 Saturday.

The Penguins and Capitals resume their series Saturday in Washington at 7:30 p.m.
