BUFFALO, N.Y. – Jordy Bellerive lost his job Thursday.
Don’t worry, though.
It only lasted a day.
And his replacement – Penguins captain Sidney Crosby – appears to have a fairly bright future when it comes to playing hockey.
Nevertheless, when Crosby joined the organization’s top prospects for practice on Thursday at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, it was Bellerive who was kicked to the curb, jettisoned from a line with Sam Miletic and Jan Drozg.
“There’s definitely a level of acceptance there,” Bellerive said Friday, laughing. “Although he’s probably the only guy I’d be OK with him doing that.
