Sheary Re-Assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Conor Sheary to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Sheary, 23, has 36 points (7G-29A) in 30 AHL games this season with WBS. He has five points (3G-2A) in 29 NHL contests with Pittsburgh.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have a home-and-home series with Bridgeport this Saturday and Sunday. WBS currently sits in second place in the Atlantic Division, one point behind the first-place Hershey Bears.

WBS is coming off a thrilling 6-5 overtime, comeback win against Lehigh Valley on Wednesday night.
