SAN JOSE, Calif. — Penguins center Sidney Crosby logged 20:03 of ice time in Game 3 and saw a lot of Sharks defensemen Justin Braun and Marc-Edouard Vlasic.
According to Natural Stat Trick, a website that tracks advanced statistics as well as head-to-head ice time, Braun had 14:46 of total ice time when Crosby was on the ice and Vlasic had 14:41.
It’s a challenge both players relish.
“[Vlasic] always wants that and takes a lot of pride in that,” said Braun. “I’m the same way. You want to shutdown the best in the world. We’ve done a pretty good job of that throughout these playoffs.
