The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Tom Sestito to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Sestito and the WBS Penguins will wrap up their 2015-16 AHL regular-season slate on Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m. with a visit to the Hershey Bears.
Later this week, the WBS Penguins will participate in the AHL playoffs for the 14th-consecutive season, the longest active streak in the AHL.
The NHL Penguins have a day off on Sunday before returning to practice on Monday morning. Pittsburgh and the New York Rangers all are squared at 1-1 in their best-of-seven series heading into Game 3 on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.
