OTTAWA, Ontario – Ottawa has done a lot of things very well during these playoffs.
Scoring on the power play isn’t one of them.
The Senators enter Game 4 of the Eastern Conference final against the Penguins at 8:10 p.m. Friday at Canadian Tire Center with a 2-1 lead in the series, and are just two victories shy of a berth in the Stanley Cup final.
But they’ve gotten there despite their work with the man-advantage, not because of it.
The Senators have converted just eight of 74 power plays and are 0 for 21 with the extra man in their past eight games.
