Secondary Sharks help make it a series against the Penguins

SAN JOSE – The Penguins got a dose of their own medicine Saturday night. The Sharks clawed their way back into the Stanley Cup Final with a comeback victory, and they did it with a couple of their secondary players leading the way.

Joonas Donskoi scored the winning goal for a 3-2 overtime victory. That goal, the first lead for the Sharks in the series, came after Joel Ward tied the score 8:48 into the third period on a long slap shot.

“That’s been huge for us,” Sharks forward Joe Thornton said. “It’s the reason we’re here.
