Former Penguins executive Jason Botterill is known in hockey circles as a man of his word.
And he's preparing to act on a pledge he made upon being named general manager in Buffalo earlier this month.
When he took that job, Botterill, who had been the Penguins' associate general manager, said he would try to lure some of his former colleagues to the Sabres.
Randy Sexton, the Penguins' director of amateur scouting, is on that list.
Possibly at the top of it.
A source familiar with the Sabres' plans confirms that Buffalo has "interest" in Sexton, although no move to recruit him has begun.
